A traffic stop in Christian County Sunday night landed two Evansville, IN residents and a Nashville, TN man behind bars facing drug-trafficking charges.
Kentucky State Police reports the traffic stop occurred around 10:20 Sunday night when a state trooper observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lane on US 41, in the city limits of Hopkinsville. Following the traffic stop, state police say a Christian County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit responded to the scene and alerted on the vehicle where authorities found and seized about four pounds of suspected marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia and cash.
22 year old Antwan Pugh Jr., 25 year old Michael David Chester and 23 year old Amber Dawn Tinsley, allof Evansville (correction of KSP Pugh lives in Evansville), were taken into custody and lodged in the Christian County Jail for trafficking marijuana (eight ounces or less than 5 pounds) and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, state police report Tinsley was charged with careless driving and no operator’s license.
