A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane along US 41/Hanson Road in HOPKINS County starting Friday, October 9, 2015.
This work zone for asphalt paving along US 41 between Madisonville and Hanson runs from the Pennyrile Parkway Madisonville Exit 45 Interchange and the North Main Street Crossover at about the 19 mile marker extending northward to KY 260/Eastlawn Road/Sunset Road at mile point 22.509 in Hanson, a distance of 3.5 miles.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Road Builderss, LLC, of Greenville, is the prime contractor on this $623,790 highway improvement project. The project is expected to take 5 to 10 days to complete, weather permitting.
