Winter Weather Advisory Issued for WMSK Listening Area

...Snow and Freezing Rain Expected This Afternoon and Tonight...

.A band of snow is expected to spread eastward along the I-64
corridor in southern Illinois and southwest Indiana late this
afternoon through this evening. Later this evening and overnight,
light freezing drizzle or freezing rain is expected to create a
thin glaze on top of the snow.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
6 AM CST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow will change to light freezing rain late this
  evening. Snow accumulations will average an inch, with some
  locally higher amounts. A light glaze of ice accumulation is
  expected on top of the snow.

* WHERE...Southwest Indiana, portions of southern Illinois along
  and north of Highway 13, as well as Union and Henderson
  counties in western Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 6 AM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slick roads and sidewalks. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the evening commute.
