According to the release, Social Services and deputies responded Wednesday to the residence of 41 year old Marsha A. Gray of Sturgis. Deputy Thomas says based on information gathered during the investigation and with the assistance from the County Attorney’s Office the 41 year old woman and 24 year old Suzanna M. Gray, of Sturgis, were arrested and charged with first degree Criminal Abuse child victim under 12 years of age.

Both subjects were lodged in the Union County Detention Center.

Authorities indicate the child has been removed from the home.

Deputy Thomas indicates this case is still under investigation and they intend to identify all parties present and any responsibility they may have, if any.

According to the post on the video, the child was in foster care at the Sturgis residence. The post also stated the special needs child has a phobia of having her eyes covered. In the video, you see the child lying stomach down on the floor with the 24 year old woman sitting on top of the girl’s back covering her eyes while the child screams.
