UPDATE: Name Released of Man Airlifted to Hospital After Union Co. Wreck on SR 758

WMSK News now has the details of a single-vehicle injury wreck we reported last night that led to a man being airlifted to an Evansville hospital

Union County 911 dispatched emergency personnel to a call of a motorcycle accident on SR 758 around 4:55 p.m. Thursday. Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Jamie Waller tells WMSK News that Jeff Hansbrough of Morganfield was operating a moped about a mile from KY 56 East when he lost control, exited the right-hand shoulder of the roadway into a wooded ditch line.

Union County EMS/Rescue Squad Chief Rick Wyatt reported last night that the man was transported from the scene by Union County EMS to the Morganfield City Park where he was airlifted by Air Evac to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville for treatment of injuries.

According to Deputy Waller, the sheriff’s office was assisted on the scene by the Union County EMS/Rescue Squad, Whispering Meadows Fire Department, and co-workers of Hansbrough, who removed the moped from the ditch line.  He indicates the roadway was reopened around 5:50 p.m.
