Union County 911 telecommunicator retiring

A long-time servant to the citizens of Union County is retiring.

Union County 911 telecommunicator Sylvia Robinson is retiring after starting her career in February 1995.

Robinson tells WMSK News there have been several memorable events during her 21 year career as a telecommunicator as well as a lot of changes.

She says after retirement she will be taking care of her daughter.

Union County 911 Supervisor Mark Doepel says he appreciates Robinson’s service.

And if you ever need emergency help, Robinson says do not hesitate to call 9-1-1 and they will get you help as soon as possible.

A retirement reception was held at Noon today on Robinson’s last day as a telecommunicator.

And we here at WMSK, thank Robinson for her service to the community and wish her the best after retirement.
