UCHS Seniors Participate in Success Interviews to Prepare For Life After High School

All Union County High School Seniors are participating in Success Interviews this week.

Union County Public Schools Public Relations Coordinator Malinda Beauchamp tells WMSK News the success interviews are occurring this week at Job Corps where guest speakers are talking to large groups on different topics.

During the larger group sessions, she says there are one on one individual interviews where students meet with a business, community leader or someone who is familiar with the interview process.

Beauchamp says they want to make sure the school district is working with community members and employers regarding future employment of local students.

With the Work Ethic Seal that is available to students this year as well as the Braves to College scholarship, Beauchamp says students have the opportunity to be rewarded for displaying a strong work ethic and taking personal responsibility as displayed by their grades, attendance, and behavior.

This is just one more example of how the administration, teachers and staff in the local school district are working to give back to the community, as well as prepare students for life beyond high school.
