Two people injured in two-vehicle accident in Henderson

A local man and a Tennessee man were injured Thursday in a two vehicle accident in Henderson.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to the scene of the wreck around 4:10 p.m. Thursday on the southbound bridge and True Vine Inn where a pickup truck driven by Manior Jeovanny Diaz of Henderson was hauling a two axle dump trailer and trailer began to fishtail and hit a Ford Ranger. Police say the investigation showed Jeff Doyle of Tennessee was standing on the side of the Ford Ranger waiting for his wife to return with fuel and the impact tossed him onto the roadway where he suffered road rash and was complaining of neck pain.

Authorities say Diaz, who complained of back pain, and Doyle were transported by ambulance to Henderson Methodist Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
