Two Henderson Residents Injured in 3-Vehicle Wreck

Two people were hurt in a three vehicle wreck on US 41 North between Watson and Walnut Lanes in Henderson around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

According to Henderson Police, 72 year old Eleanor Jeffrey of Henderson pulled out of Audubon Trailer Park and began to turn left to go north n US 41 when her vehicle was hit on the driver’s side by a vehicle traveling southbound on US 41 driven by 38 year old Brandy Borne of Henderson.  Borne’s vehicle then hit a semi tractor trailer that was stopped in the southbound lanes on US 41 North being driven by 59 year old Johnny Pirtle of Evansville, IN.

Police say Jeffrey had to be extricated from her vehicle by emergency personnel. Jeffrey and her passenger, 14 year old Sierra Archaletta of Henderson, were transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Due to the accident, the northbound lanes of US 41 North were closed for about 40 minutes and one southbound lane of US 41 was closed for approximately 30 minutes for the extrication and clean-up of the wreck.
