Two Henderson residents arrested in Union Co. on drug possession and other charges

Two Henderson residents were arrested in Uniontown over the weekend on drug possession, receiving stolen property and other charges.

Uniontown Police Chief Jeffery Hart tells WMSK News that around 10:30 p.m. Saturday officers with the Uniontown Police Department and Union County Sheriff’s deputies were sitting alongside KY 360 at Dairy Street in Uniontown when a vehicle drove around them and onto the toe of the levee, an area he says is prohibited for vehicular traffic. He says officers stopped the vehicle in the woods behind the levee and discovered the vehicle was stolen from Evansville earlier.

During a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly found two baggie corners containing a white light crystal substance, which Chief Hart indicates field tested negative for meth and cocaine. He says the substance will be sent to the lab for analysis.

Chief Hart says 31 year old Chadwick Gibson and 24 year old Kaitlyn Lacy, both of Henderson, were taken into custody and lodged in the Union County Detention Center for receiving stolen property under $10,000, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree – drug unspecified, and third degree criminal trespassing. In addition, Chief Hart indicates Lacy had an outstanding warrant that was served, and she was also charged with driving on a suspended license.
