A 50 year old Saint Anthony man was arrested after an Indiana State Police trooper spotted him in a stolen vehicle on I-64 near Trooper Locates Stolen Vehicle on I-64 near Elberfeld.
Around 5:00 p.m. Monday, ISP tells WMSK News Dispatch alerted troopers of a vehicle theft had just occurred in Bristow and the vehicle was possibly traveling west on I-64. Police say the 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt was allegedly stolen by 50 year old Steven W. Wiley, of St. Anthony.
Around 5:45 p.m., a state trooper spotted the stolen vehicle on I-64 and stopped the vehicle near the 33 mile-marker. Authorities say the driver, Wiley, was arrested without incident. Upon further investigation, police say Wiley was driving on a suspended license.
Wiley was arrested and taken to the Warrick County Jail where he is currently being held on bond for Vehicle Theft, and Driving While Suspended.
