A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a NIGHT CLOSURE along US 41-Alternate/US 60/Green Street in Downtown HENDERSON on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
US 41-Alternate/US 60/Green Street in Downtown HENDERSON will be closed during overnight hours near the CSX Railroad Overpass between 4th Street and 5th Street. This closure of Green Street is to facilitate removal of abandoned railroad tracks beneath the roadway. The Green Street intersection with 4th Street will be blocked during this overnight work.
The roadway at this site is expected to close starting at approximately 9:00 p.m., CDT, Tuesday. Green Street is expected to reopen to traffic by about 5:00 a.m., Wednesday.
There will be no marked detour. Motorists are asked to self-detour via side streets. To avoid delays, all through truck traffic should self-detour via US 41 and the KY 425 Henderson Bypass during overnight hours.
This work is scheduled on a weather permitting basis.
