Traffic ADVISORY – contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a daytime lane restriction on the KY 425 Henderson Bypass starting TODAY

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a daytime lane restriction on the Y 425 Henderson Bypass starting Monday, March 6, 2017.

The contractor plans to restrict traffic to one lane along the KY 425 Bypass at Henderson to allow guardrail to be upgraded.

Motorists should be prepared to encounter intermittant work zones along the KY 425 Henderson Bypass between milepoint 2.5 and the 5 mile marker. This is along the KY 425 Bypass between US 41-Alternate and US 41.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by an automated signal. The location of this work zone will move from time to time as work progresses.

This is part of a previously announced guardrail installation project in Henderson County.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

N.H. Stone Company is the prime contractor on this $309,223 highway improvement project. The guardrail upgrade work along the KY 425 Bypass is expected to be completed by Friday afternoon.

Approximate 8,000 vehicles travel this section of the KY 425 Henderson Bypass in an average day.
