Three Henderson Police Officers Graduate Basic Training

HPD NEWS RELEASE

On Friday, September 2nd, Derek Hill, Logan Jones, and Dean Lunz, Jr. graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond, Kentucky, after completing 22 weeks of basic law enforcement officer training. Derek Hill is a 2011 graduate of Valparaiso High School (IN) and 2015 graduate of USI where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Logan Jones is a 2009 graduate of Washington High School (IN) and 2014 graduate of USI where he earned his Bacheor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Logan Jones was also awarded the Outstanding Performance Award for Physical Fitness during the graduation ceremony. Dean Lunz, Jr. is a 2008 graduate of Metcalfe County High School (KY) and serves in the Kentucky National Guard. Dean Lunz holds the rank of Sergeant with the Kentucky National Guard Military Police.

Derek Hill, Logan Jones, and Dean Lunz will be officially sworn in at 2:15pm today (Tuesday, September 6th) at the Henderson Police Department. Join us in congratulating these men.
