Sturgis woman flown to Evansville hospital after single-vehicle wreck in Union County

A Sturgis woman was airlifted to an Evansville hospital after she was injured in a single-vehicle wreck in Union County Sunday afternoon.

A Kentucky State Police report indicates 33 year old Mary Hogge was driving west on KY 492 around 3:25 Sunday afternoon when for an unknown reason she ran off the road and hit an earth embankment. According to state police, the Sturgis woman was able to climb out of her vehicle and make a phone call for help.

Hogge was treated at the scene by the Union County Ambulance, Sturgis Fire/Rescue and St. Mary’s Life Flight. The 33 year old woman was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville where state police indicate she remains in stable condition.
