District 2 snow and ice crews will begin applying a salt brine mixture to roadways around lunchtime, starting with C-Routes and progressing up the priority list to primary A-Routes by the end of the week.
Motorists are urged to use caution when snow and ice crews are present, as these vehicles will be moving slowly during the application process.
There are more than 3,278 miles of state highways within District 2’s 11-county region.
