The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday and injured a man.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of shots fired at 209 Young Avenue in Earlington around 7:00 p.m. Monday. Authorities say shots had been fired in the residence at a then unknown suspect.
During the investigation, deputies reportedly learned that 34 year old Robert Gordon had been shot in the leg when he went to the residence to retrieve his wallet and an argument ensued that ended with several shots being fired.
Authorities say Gordon was transported to Baptist Hospital by private vehicle where he was treated and released.
The case is still under investigation at this time.
