HENDERSON, KY, July 25, 2016 – U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell and local officials will dedicate the site in the City of Henderson being developed for new industrial projects at a ceremony on Tuesday afternoon, July 26.

The property at the end of Borax Drive (behind the Henderson County Detention Center) was acquired in the last phase of the City’s riverfront development initiative.

The City currently has depleted all its available sites for industrial development.

In addition to remarks from local officials and Sen. McConnell, the event will include a progress report on the Borax Drive project, which is yet to be formally named.

The ceremony will take place following a noon luncheon of the Henderson Rotary Club and Henderson Lions Club at which McConnell is the keynote speaker. That luncheon is taking place at Henderson Fine Arts Center.

The dedication is expected to take place at approximately 1:30 p.m. Sen. McConnell will be available for questions at the conclusion of the ceremony.
