A search warrant led to the arrest of four Posey County, Indiana residents.
Indiana State Police say a tip led to the arrest of 20 year old Michael Hayes of Mount Vernon, IN, who was wanted on a felony arrest warrant for failing to appear for a gun violation. Police report they located Hayes at a home on Vine Street, and when troopers entered the residence they saw drug paraphernalia in plain view on a table. After getting a search warrant for the property, troopers reportedly found small amounts of meth, synthetic marijuana, drug paraphernalia and hypodermic needles.
Police say the tenants, 33 year old Candice Harris and 25 year old Ethan Pund, were arrested and taken to the Posey County Jail where they are currently being held on bond.
According to authorities, Harris’ five and six year old sons were present during the arrests and were turned over to the custody of the Posey County Division of Family Services.
In addition, 54 year old David Curtis, of Mount Vernon, IN, who police say was visiting at the home, was also taken into custody and taken to jail, but was released after he posted bond.
