Search begins for new Henderson Community College president

Henderson, Ky. – Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) President Jay K. Box announced today the national search has begun for a new president for Henderson Community College (HCC).

Box and HCC Board Chair Cass Wilson appointed a screening committee that Wilson will lead.

“We’ve put together a stellar committee, and everyone is excited to get started,” Box said. “We expect to have a good number of qualified candidates who will be enthusiastic about the college and the community.”

The committee includes community leaders representing key constituencies for the college, as well as its service areas. Faculty and staff, representing multiple disciplines, services and campuses, also are part of the committee.

Tom Glover – Webster County Community Member
Kim Humphrey – Union County Community Member
David Curlin — Henderson Community Member

The committee will review candidate materials and choose three finalists, which will come to campus for in-person interviews and public forums in December. The HCC board ultimately recommends the preferred candidate to Box.

“We’re confident that we can find a candidate that will not only meet the needs of the college, but also be an active member of the community,” Wilson said. “We look forward to this new chapter.”

The president will be selected in December and begin his or her duties by Feb. 1. Interim President Tiffany Evans will continue serving until the new president takes the reins.
