Remember to “Share the Road” with the Motorcycles coming in for the Kentucky Bike Rally.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is reminding everyone to be alert for motorcycles rolling into the Kentucky Bike Rally at Sturgis, KY, this week.

The rumble of motorcycle engines will be a common sound as thousands of bikers from all over the country travel to and from the event. Motorists are reminded to be on the lookout for a higher than normal number of motorcycles along highways leading to the Union County Fairgrounds where the 2017 event runs July 13 through 16.

In addition to creating traffic congestion along US 60 near the entrance to the fairgrounds, riders will be hitting back roads around the region participating in several charity runs.

Both motorists and bikers are reminded to use caution and “Share The Road” during the rally.
