Crossings in Christian, Hopkins, Webster and Henderson Counties
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (August 13, 2020) – A railroad maintenance project is expected to impact multiple railroad crossings in District 2 beginning August 17. The work dates are subject to change. The impacted crossings along with the dates of expected closures are listed below.
Christian County
- KY 115 (mile point 10.5) – The closure in Pembroke is expected to begin on Monday, August 17 and reopen on Tuesday. The closure will resume on the 24th for several days.
- Ninth Street (mile point 12.25) – The closure in Hopkinsville is expected to begin on Monday, August 17 at 7:00 p.m.
Hopkins County
- West Main Street (mile point 12.12) The closure in Earlington will begin on Tuesday, August 18.
- KY 260/Sunset Road (mile point 1.4) The closure on KY 260 will begin on Monday, August 24.
- Hospital Drive in Madisonville The closure on Hospital Drive will begin on August 19 or 20 and will last for 2 days.
Webster County
- KY 138 (mile point 10.0) – The closure at Slaughters will begin on Monday, August 24.
Henderson County
- US 41-A/North Green Street (mile point 16.1) – The closure in Henderson on U.S. 41-A will begin on Monday, August 24. The crossing at South Green Street will be addressed after U.S. 41-A/North Green Street has reopened.
Motorists can anticipate a signed detour for those work sites that will be in place longer than one day. The overall time table will be based on the production schedule for CSX. Motorists should anticipate the schedule to shift by a day or two.
