Providence Police arrest 5 individuals on drug-related charges

Officers in Providence were busy last week after five individuals were arrested on drug-related charges.

Providence Police Chief Brent McDowell reports to WMSK News the following individuals were arrested and charged:

36 year old Shannon Hooper of Dawson Springs was arrested Thursday, March 17, 2016 and charged for first degree Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia, first degree Possession of Controlled Substance (Drug Unspecified), Prescription for a Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container, and she was also served a warrant for a Parole Violation.

28 year old Rodney McClure of Sebree was arrested on Friday, March 18, 2016 and charged for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, first degree Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and couple of traffic-related offenses.

20 year old Jarred Newcom of Providence was arrested on Friday, March 18, 2016 and charged for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, first degree Possession of Controlled Substance (Drug Unspecified) and Possession of Marijuana.

21 year old Robert Bussing of Providence was arrested on Friday, March 18, 2016 and charged for first degree Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth) and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

And 21 year old Shabri Wormell of Providence was arrested Sunday, March 20, 2016 and charged for Unlawful Transaction with a Minor – Illegal Controlled Substance – Under 18 Years of Age.

No other details regarding the arrests were released by the Providence Police Department.
