Princeton man arrested on drug charges

GIBSON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE

On October 26, 2015, at 9:57 a.m. Gibson County Deputies were dispatched to 3211 E. Top Hat Drive to conduct an investigation into possible illegal drug activity. Upon speaking with occupants of the residences deputies detected the
odor of a burnt substance. Sgt. Bruce L. Vanoven began speaking with 28 year old Christopher A. Burton II and noticed that he appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. During Sergeant Vanoven’s investigation drug paraphernalia and material believed to be a synthetic cannabinoid were found in Mr. Burton’s possession.

Mr. Burton was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with possession of paraphernalia and possession of a synthetic drug. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.

Assisting Sergeant Vanoven in his investigation was Sergeant Tim Coomer and Deputy Jeff Hill.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
