Popup driver Licensing event slated for thursday in morganfield

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is partnering with Union County Judge-Executive Adam O’Nan to host a popup driver licensing event from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at the Union County Ag Extension Office.

The Extension Office is located at 1938 U.S. 60-West in Morganfield. This event is only for Union County residents.

Popup driver licensing is ideal for residents who need services exclusively performed in-person at a Driver Licensing Regional Office. This includes:

  • Upgrading to a REAL ID license
  • Requesting an 8-year license if you are due to renew
  • Updating your name
  • Renewing your CDL

Appointments are required and must be scheduled on drive.ky.gov. Slots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and walk-in appointments are unavailable to ensure cabinet staff can answer questions or review documents of appointment-holders ahead of their scheduled visits. The traveling service currently only accepts payments by credit or debit card, check or money order.

Appointments for the Union County Popup Driver Licensing Event are now available online.

REAL IDs will be the only license version accepted at airport security checkpoints for domestic flights, or for entry into military bases and select federal buildings once REAL ID enforcement starts May 3, 2023. Learn more at realidky.com.
