RADCLIFF, Ky. (AP) — Authorities say they found a missing woman’s body inside the Radcliff apartment of a man who had just been accused of stealing a bag of dog food from a Wal-Mart.
News outlets report that 30-year-old Paul James Ellefritz was questioned Sunday by police in connection with the disappearance of his 48-year-old roommate Kimberly Mayberger, who was reported missing last week.
Ellefritz was arrested the next day after investigators say he walked out of a Wal-Mart with an unpaid 22-pound bag of dog food. Police say they then found Mayberger’s body inside Ellefritz’s apartment. She appeared to have been stabbed to death.
Ellefritz is facing multiple charges, including murder. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
