Madisonville Police are continuing to investigate an armed robbery that occurred around 11:00 p.m. Friday at a convenience store.
When officers arrived at the BP Market in the 24-hundred block of South Main Street, police say the clerk advised them an unknown male entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded money. After the clerk complied with the suspect, police report he then fled the store on foot and headed east across South Main Street with an undisclosed amount of cash.
According to police, the suspect is described as a male 5’5” to 5’7”, medium build, wearing a black hood, black jacket and dark blue jeans. They say he was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
