NORTONVILLE, Ky. (January 7, 2026) – A pedestrian was killed Tuesday evening following a fatal collision with a vehicle on U.S. 41 in Hopkins County.
Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville is investigating a fatal collision involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Old Nortonville-White Plains Road in Nortonville.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a silver Nissan sedan, operated by a Hopkins County man, struck a pedestrian who was reported to be standing in the roadway.
The Hopkins County Coroner pronounced Joseph Davis, 70, of Nortonville, dead at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Trooper Nathan Pedigo with the Kentucky State Police.
