Pedestrian hit and killed by vehicle on South Green Street in Henderson Tuesday night

Kentucky State Police is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian fatal collision that occurred Tuesday night in the 300 block of Green Street in Henderson.

KSP was notified by Henderson City Police around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday requesting its agency to investigate and reconstruct a vehicle versus pedestrian fatality crash in Henderson.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a blue Ford F-150 operated by a 17-year-old male juvenile from Henderson was traveling eastbound on Green Street.

Lamont B. Henderson, 66, of Henderson was traveling on foot crossing Green Street to Clay Street and entered into the truck’s path.

Henderson was pronounced dead on scene. The juvenile was not injured in the collision.

KSP said it is early in the investigation and reconstructionists are collecting and processing evidence.

The investigation and reconstruction is ongoing by Trooper Josh Turner. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Henderson City Police, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Henderson City Fire Department, Henderson County Emergency Medical Services and Henderson County Coroner’s Office.
