Due to rain delays, a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet now plans base repairs to be followed by paving along sections of KY 762, KY 3335, and KY 554 in DAVIESS County starting Monday, June 6, 2016.
Work is scheduled at the following locations:
- KY 762 from the Daviess-Ohio County Line at mile point 0.0 extending north to the Cane Run Bridge at mile point 2.788
- KY 3335/Settles Road from the intersection with KY 3143 at mile point 0.0 extending east to KY 1456 at mile point 1.134
- KY 554/Ashbyburg Road from the KY 815 intersection at mile point 0.953 extending northeast to KY 81 at mile point 4.823, a distance of 3.87 miles
The contractor plans base repairs along KY 762 on Monday, June 6th. The base repairs will then be allowed to settle for about a week.
Milling is scheduled for around June 13th, to be followed by paving along KY 762 starting around June 14th. The contractor will then move to KY 3335 and KY 554 as work progresses. The contractor anticipates about two full days for paving at each location, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Yager Materials is the prime contractor on this $565,909 group paving project. The target completion date for all work is June 22, 2016.
