Paving on KY 398 at Pennyrile Forest State Park Planned for this Week

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (June 24, 2024) – Visitors to Pennyrile Forest State Park should anticipate some delays this week as paving operations begin on KY 398 (Bainbridge Road) in Christian County this week. A contractor working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin paving roughly three miles of the roadway that serves as the main entrance to the park tomorrow, Tuesday, June 25.

The project will repave KY 398 from the 5.25 mile point at KY 1348 (Pennyrile Forest State Park Road) to the 8.35 mile point at KY 109 (Dawson Springs Road).

Bainbridge Road will be restricted to one lane with flaggers during paving operations. Work will begin at KY 109 on Tuesday and move south towards KY 1348.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Friday, June 28, weather permitting.
