A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along sectons of KY 139 and KY 672 in CALDWELL County starting TODAY.
Paving along KY 139 runs from KY 91 at mile point 11.67 extending northward to just south of the KY 1119 intersection at the the 15 mile marker, a distance of 3.33 miles
Paving along KY 672 runs a long two sections from mile point 8.1 to 9.2 and from mile point 10.59 to mile point 12.9, a distance of 3.5 miles of new pavement. This is along portions of KY 672 roughly from north of the KY 278 intersection extending northward to near near the KY 2066 intersection.
The contractor plans milling along both work zones TODAY. The contractor plans asphalt paving along KY 139 starting TODAY. The contractor then plans to move to KY 672 about October 19th.
The contractor plans to rock mailbox turnouts on October 21st, with all work to be completed by about October 24th, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Rogers Group, Inc., is the prime contractor on this $442,390 highway improvement project.
