OWENSBORO, Ky. – Kentucky State Police have arrested an Owensboro man in connection with drug trafficking charges.
Troopers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Maple Street in Owensboro at around 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Troopers located large bags of suspected methamphetamine, counterfeit Percocet pills believed to be Fentanyl, synthetic marijuana, marijuana, ammunition, scales and various forms of drug paraphernalia.
Jamal D. Huggins, 36, of Owensboro, was arrested and charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense-Methamphetamine (greater than 2 grams)
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, (Fentanyl)
- Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs 1st Degree
- Possession of a Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Huggins was transported and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro. Kentucky State Police, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security were involved in the investigation and arrests.
The investigation is ongoing.
