Owensboro man arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd Degree

A 23 year old Owensboro man accused of kicking in the door of his girlfriend’s residence and assaulting a man over the weekend has been charged with burglary.

Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 81-hundred block of Ward Road around 9:00 Sunday night regarding a subject beating on the front door. While still on the phone with 9-1-1, authorities report the female victim stated that 23 year old Jesse Dakota Robertson had just kicked in the front door and was assaulting a male subject inside the residence. Before deputies arrived, Robertson had reportedly fled the scene and was located near the entrance to the Daviess County Fair Grounds at the 61-hundred block of Highway 54 where deputies say he stuck his hand of the window of the vehicle and he was taken into custody.

According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s report, Robertson was read his Miranda rights and then admitted to authorities that he kicked down the door to his girlfriends’ house and attacked a male subject who was inside the home with her.

Robertson was booked into the Daviess County Detention Center for Burglary 2nd Degree.
