To accommodate culvert replacement
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (July 28, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), District 2, advises motorists of a road closure in Union County that will begin Tuesday, Aug. 3.
KY 1176 will be closed to allow crews to replace a culvert at the 2.4 mile marker. The closure will begin at 6:30 a.m. CDT on Tuesday and continue overnight. Crews plan to reopen the road by 3:30 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, Aug. 4.
“Road Closed” signs will be placed on KY 1176 at Gums Road and Jim Day Road.
KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
