Ohio Co. man charged with trafficking a controlled substance

Fordsville, KY. (November 10th, 2016) – Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Fordsville area for a cancelled registration plate and other traffic offenses. Upon contact with the operator, KSP reports the Trooper discovered the driver to be Matt Rusher of Fordsville and his operator license were suspended due to a pending criminal court case.

Through further investigation, police say Rusher found to be operating the vehicle under the influence and in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

According to KSP, Rusher was arrested and charged with D.U.I. 2nd Offense-Aggravated Circumstances, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree / 3rd Offense-Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
