Officials: Man working on WKU project falls, later dies

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Officials say a construction worker has died after he fell while working on a new building at Western Kentucky University last week.

The Bowling Green Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/2eJW46I) that Andy Mays, president of Whittenberg Construction, the general contractor for the project, says the incident happened Nov. 10.

Officials say the unidentified man, who worked for Louisville-based Archway Roofing and Sheet Metal, was injured after falling while working on the university’s new Ogden College Hall.

Mays says the company told Whittenberg on Monday that the man died over the weekend from his injuries.

He says the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
