New Traffic Signal on KY 260 in HOPKINS County to Be Placed in Flashing Yellow Mode on Wednesday, May 25

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to place a new traffic signal along KY 260 at Hanson in Hopkins County into flashing mode starting on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

A new traffic signal along KY 260/Veterans Drive at the intersection with Factory Outlet Road at the east edge of Hanson will be placed in yellow flashing mode starting at approximately 8:30 a.m., CDT, on Wednesday.  This is along KY 260 at mile point 1.823 between the Interstate 69 Exit 120 Hanson Interchange and US 41 in Hanson.

The eastbound left turn lane from KY 260/Veterans Drive to Factory Outlet Road will have a flashing yellow arrow indicating vehicles turning left should yield to oncoming traffic.

Signs and message boards are up at this location to alert the public.  This new signal is expected to remain in yellow flashing mode until May 31st when it will be placed in full red-yellow-green operation.

While it is in flashing mode, motorists should take note of this new traffic signal and be prepared for changes in traffic flow that may be created when the signal is placed in normal operating mode on Tuesday, May 31st.
