On Tuesday around 6:00 a.m. the EPD SWAT team and officers of the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Joint Task Force served a search warrant at 918 Covert Avenue that resulted in the arrest of four individuals.
According to Evansville Police, the warrant was a result of a lengthy narcotics investigation where numerous controlled buys of narcotics had been made from 918 Covert. Detectives with the EVCJTF reportedly recovered heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and 8 hand guns during the search and arrests.
Cody Oshea Hall-Johnson – 24 years old
Levi Quincy Grant – 37 years old
Eugene Berry Maxwell – 26 years old
James Latroy Mitchell – 36 years old
Police say Johnson was charged with maintaining a common nuisance. Grant was charged with possession of marijuana. Johnson and Grant are being held in the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center.
Authorities indicate Maxwell and Mitchell were taken into custody and being held on federal charges.
