An ongoing investigation by law enforcement agencies resulted in the arrest of two Madisonville residents and the recovery of 34 pounds of marijuana.
The joint investigation by the Madisonville Police Department, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police led to authorities getting a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of West Center Street in Madisonville. As a result of their investigation, police say they seized 34 pounds of pot with an estimated street value of over 75-thousand dollars, a small amount of methamphetamine and numerous other items related to the illegal distribution or sale of drugs.
According to Madisonville Police, 24 year old Christian Altorre and 19 year old Erin Ladino were taken into custody and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center for Trafficking in Marijuana Greater Than 5 pounds, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth).
