In case you missed WMSK’s Breaking News report on 101.3 FM, Morganfield Police Detective Chad Vos tells WMSK News 28 year old Antonio Smith of Morganfield has been arrested in connection to the armed robbery at Fifth Third Bank.
Det. Vos says a search warrant was served at Northside Apartments this afternoon by MPD, Sturgis Police Dept., Kentucky State Police, Henderson Sheriff K-9 Unit and the Union Co. Sheriff’s Office. Authorities reportedly recovered several items of clothing worn during the robbery along with the gun.
According to Det. Vos, Smith’s arrest was the result of their investigation and video footage from businesses in downtown, as well as Smith’s Facebook page that showed him wearing some of the same items of clothing he wore during the robbery.
Smith was lodged in the Union Co. Jail on charges of Robbery 1st Degree and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
