The Morganfield Police Department has announced that the parks in Morganfield will be closed at 9 p.m. until further notice.
Police said the closures are due to illegal and destructive activities occurring in the parks during the afternoons and nights. Little League Sports and the Pickle Ball League are excluded from these closures.
Morganfield Police said it’s not an option that they want to employ, but none of the department’s enforcement actions have worked the way they wanted them to so far.
The police said that as long as the racing, driving on the grass, burnouts, headlights shining in the house windows, engines revving, high speed take offs, etc., continue, the parks will remain closed at night.
