A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along US 60 in southwestern HENDERSON County starting THIS WEEK.
Milling and paving along US 60/Morganfield Road runs from the Henderson-Union County line at mile point 0.0, extending northeastward to East 9th Street in Corydon at mile point 2.762.
Starting today, the contractor will have a crew working along this work zone for several hours to remove reflective pavment markers.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 11 & 12, the contractor plans to have a milling crew working along this section. A paving crew is expected to be working along this 2.7 mile section on Thursday and Friday, October 13 & 14.
The contractor plans to return to this work zone next week to rock shoulders and mill rumble strips.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
J.H. Rudolph & Company, Inc, of Evansville is the prime contractor on this $498,211 highway improvement project. Weather permitting, the project has a target completion date of October 21, 2016.
