METHODIST HEALTH TO EXTEND DELAY OF NON-URGENT SURGERIES, PROCEDURES AND OFFICE VISITS

HENDERSON & MORGANFIELD – Methodist Health is further extending delays on elective and non-urgent procedures and surgeries, and Methodist Physician Group offices will continue reducing in-person office visits, until April 20. More extensions of this timeline are possible.
Physicians and providers are evaluating patients on a case-by-case basis, following CDC and other guidelines to protect as many people as possible. All surgeries, procedures and in-office visits [that a physician has determined can be safely postponed] will be rescheduled.
Additionally, due to recent expansion of telehealth laws and regulations, Methodist Physician Group has been able to convert many in-person visits to phone consultation with patients, when appropriate to do so.
Patients are being contacted by the hospital or their physician’s office regarding their postponed appointments, procedures and surgeries.
