After hearing the rumors, and the talk of the town, regarding the termination or suspension of Morganfield Police Chief Craig Bolds, WMSK News contacted Mayor Dickie Berry Thursday morning to to find out whether the rumors were true or false. When asked if Chief Bolds had been terminated or suspended, Mayor Berry told me “he has not been terminated.” The mayor did not want to elaborate further.
Morganfield City Council held a special called meeting Thursday, July 8, 2016, for the purpose of a closed session to discuss personnel issues, according to the agenda. City officials said no action was taken during the closed session. It is unknown whether the discussion pertained to Bolds.
