Mary Edna Springer, age 95 of Sturgis, KY died Saturday 12/29/18 at Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Morganfield. She was a member of Sturgis First Baptist Church. She retired after working for many years from the Sturgis Pants Factory. Mary loved playing bingo, cards, and doing word searches. Her favorite thing to do was cook Sunday dinner for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband James “Jim” Springer, Sr.; her parents Spencer and Missye Johnson; brothers Willie, Haynes, C.E. and Louis Johnson

2 daughters Nancy Haire & husband David of Marion, KY
Bobbye Byrnes & husband Jim of Sturgis, KY
1 son Wesley Springer & wife Sherry of Morganfield, KY
1 brother James “Jimmy” Johnson of Sturgis
6 Grandchildren 16 Great Grandchildren
Funeral service will be 2 PM Thursday, 1/3/2019 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, KY.
Rev. Shane O’Guin will officiate.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM until service time Thursday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis.
Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
