After a story I wrote Monday and aired in the news about God’s Outdoors Disciples Ministry restarting the Feeding The 5000 ministry of processing deer meet to feed the hungry here in the county, I got a call Tuesday morning from Union County Fiscal Court Magistrate Joe Clements. Mr. Clements stated that he and his wife, Pat, heard the story and wanted to make a donation to Troy Black Tuesday morning at the Union County Courthouse.
Founder and President of God’s Outdoors Disciples Ministry Troy Black told me he really appreciates the donation from the Clements.
After the story aired Tuesday morning, Black said he had several people call about making donations and what they could do to help.
The ministry utilizes donated deer which is harvested for the meat. Black indicated the funds raised would be used to cover a commercial processor to process the meat before they distribute it to the residents in need here in the county.
