Local Rescue Squad Assists With Search for Missing Boater

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Members of the Henderson City – County Rescue squad are back on the Ohio River for a second day assisting in the search for a missing Owensboro man.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says that a boat carrying two men from Owensboro, Kentucky, was pulled into the Newburgh Lock and Dam Sunday afternoon. They say one of two men in the boat was rescued from the dam and the other remains missing. No names have yet been released.
Meanwhile, crews returned to Sugar Creek in western Indiana this morning to look for a man spotted floating by a restaurant in Crawfordsville while yelling for help. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says the unidentified man was seen going underwater Sunday.
And on Saturday night, authorities rescued a man in southwestern Indiana after flood waters swept his car off a rural road in Greene County.
