Lane restrictions on U.S. 41 and KY 2097 in Henderson and Webster counties

 
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a traffic shift in bridge work zones along US 41 and KY 2997 in Henderson and Webster counties on Wednesday morning, May 22, 2019.
The contractor has completed deck overlay work in one direction on the bridges.  To facilitate work on the remaining lane, traffic will be shifted in these work zones starting at 7:00 a.m., CDT, Wednesday.
Motorists should be alert for changes in traffic flow this traffic shift may create.  Some delays are possible while traffic control equipment is being moved or adjusted to facilitate the traffic shift.
As a reminder, traffic will be restricted to one 9-foot-wide lane on King Creek Bridge at milepoint 0.5 on U.S. 41 in Henderson County, East Fork Graves Creek Bridge at milepoint 0.17 on KY 2097 in Henderson County and Groves Creek Bridge at milepoint 11.7 on U.S. 41 in Webster County.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by automated signals.  The work is expected to be complete by Saturday, June 1.

Vehicles over nine feet wide and motorists who wish to avoid the work zones on U.S. 41 should detour via KY 416, I-69 and KY 56. Vehicles over nine feet wide and motorists who wish to avoid the work zone on KY 2097 should detour via I-69 and KY 416. Motorists should expect delays, use added caution and slow down when approaching and traveling through the work zone.
