Motorists need to be aware KY 416 is closed at the railroad crossing in the Robards community after officials say a truck hauling an excavator hit and damaged the rail crossing signal.
Due to the truck incident, spokesman Keith Todd indicates the rail crossing signal is expected to be out of service for several days. This will require KY 416 to remain closed at the rail crossing at mile point 5.528. He says this closure is along KY 416 in Robards between First Street and Robards-Busby Station Road.
According to Todd, a Marked detour is being established via US 41 and KY 283. Detour signs should be up in the next few hours.
CSX Railroad has indicated repars to the signal are likely to take 2 or 3 days to complete.
